The sky was briefly (somewhat) clear for a brief colorful display of the northern lights. A couple of images snapped around UTC 21.37. Details: Canon 650D / Samyang 8 mm fisheye-lens.


It finally cleared up (somewhat), but not so good conditions. It was indeed a colorful display, in between clouds, and beyond fog. However, the most interesting feature was an east-west oriented arc. It formed at about UTC 21.25 and lasted until about UTC 21.36 it was followed by an intense aurora. The arc appeared in the same loacation where I previously most often have seen/observed STEVE.
