April 07-08,2026. Starlink Train, and a Bright Meteor.

On Monday, April 6 at 7:50 p.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched 25 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This corresponds to 04:50 CEST on April 7 in Norway. The Starlink train passed over Norway later that evening at 22:11, and the image above shows the formation as seen from Ørsta.

Auroras, a meteor. February 15, 2025.

Many nights in a row with auroras. A meteoroid disintegrated at about UTC 18.59, hence a bright meteor was imaged. Location: Ørsta, Norway. Details: 7.5mm fisheye-lens, Canon 650D.

This meteor was also captured by an AllSky7 camera (AMS135) I operate jointly with the Norwegian Meteor Network.

Northern Taurid. November 10, 2023.

This meteor was observed using a Canon 250D, and a Meka fisheye-lens. Unfortunately some ice on the lens. It was also recorded on a camera station (AMS 135) that I maintain. This camera station is contributing to the Norwegian meteornetwork ( Norsk meteornettverk). More info on this event can be found here.
