STEVE, and Aurora Borealis. April 21, 2024.

There was a brief instance of auroral activity on April 21. Not easily seen or photographed because of a bright sky. Interestingly, the contrail like phenomenon STEVE was observed from about UTC 21.02 to 21.34.

STEVE over the mountain. The faint mauve color was captured by an allsky camera (AMS135). Taken at the same time as the DSLR photos below.

Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks in the bright western sky on April 5, 2024. Details: Canon 800D, Sigma 50-500 mm lens. I’ve been following the comet for several months, and this is most likely the last image I will take of the comet.

SpaceX spiral. Aurora. Fireball. March 04/05, 2024

Beautiful auroral activity on March 4/5, 2024. There was an intense, and brief, spiral in front of the aurora at am 02.00 (local time) on March 05, 2024. Just above the mountain. It turned out to be a Falcon-9 rocket (2nd-stage) from SpaceX. A fireball was also captured during the observation run. Please, find times notated on the images.
