It is fascinating to stand outside and watch this January’s planetary parade. Especially, as the sky transits from afternoon to evening, and the sky gradually darkens. Photo details: Canon 800D, Samyang 8mm fisheye-lens.

Beautiful planet conjunction (Venus-Saturn) in a colorful afternoon sky. Ørsta, Norway. Photo details: Canon EOS RP, Sigma 50-500mm.

The plan was to observe the Moon occulting Saturn, but shortly before the event clouds came rolling in. Earlier in the afternoon there was a nice corona around the Moon, as it was closing in on Saturn before the occultation. Venus was also nearby, a beautiful set of objects in the twilight. Location: Ørsta, Norway. Photo details: Canon 800D, Canon RP, Sigma 50-500mm lens, Celestron C8.
